Peoria Bobcats
The Bobcats were another team that was established in the largest growth period of Prigus Sport. When the league traveled to the Midwest looking for a home in Illinois, they were drawn to Peoria. Peoria is a blue collar industrial town in mid-Illinois planted on the river. The Forest Park Nature Center area that resides on the river was selected due to its serene location. The nature center area is known for its abundance of bobcats, although there have been very few incidents regarding humans injuries. They keep to themselves, if you're a rabbit, squirrel or flightless bird, you have problems. They have owned this land for a long time and have a presence here. So out of respect, the Bobcats have a natural home here, the animal and the team. They play in the Forest Park Nature Center Stadium right on the edge of the Peoria River.
