The Eugene Bigfeet showed up on the Prigus scene in 1936 during the West Coast invasion. The Bigfeet found their home in west central Oregon when the league desired something green and in the Northwest. With the persuasion of the University of Oregon, the Bigfeet didn't have to look anywhere else. A couple areas in Washington were in talks with the league to get the Bigfeet further north. Tacoma and Spokane were in the running. If a team eventually ever went up to Washington, it would be an automatic rival for the Bigfeet. The Bigfeet play in Skinner Butte Park at the Skinner Butte Forest Arena. The Arena was commissioned and built by the University of Oregon in the middle of a patch of dense forest, nearly hidden from view and close to the Williamette River.
